sorting media

I have imported a gopro library via it's name. When I view in FCP, list mode, it shows the media sorted, first, by day. I can sort the media within by the day. Change how it is listed. But It won't sort the entire file. Most recent day is always first. I wanted it listed oldest to newest. With the oldest day first. Chronological/name order by imported clip. What am I missing?
