Vertical lines on screen
How do I get rid of the vertical lines that are on the side of my display screen? I did not drop or harm my laptop in any way...

Vertical artifacts are almost always a hardware issue in the display itself. The picture you see is built from a stack of horizontal rows of dots, and only when everything lines up perfectly do you get a clear picture.
