Can a user remove a device (Apple watch) online if they have given it to another person?

Can an owner remove a device (Apple watch) from their account ONLINE if they have given it to another person?

Unpaired Apple Watch still listed in “Device Support/My Devices” page I have an Apple watch 6 that I have unpaired from my phone and I want to discard. It does not show up on my Find Devices and goes into pairing mode on boot. However if I go to my Apple Support app, the watch is still listed. How do I remove it off My Device’s owned list? I dont see any delete on that page. Other than unpairing, is there any other step before I discard/sell a watch? It is my understanding that any Activation lock is removed by unpairing. Thanks!

What happens if I "remove" my apple watch before I "erase" it? I sold my series 3 apple watch. It was automatically removed from my phone when I set up my new watch. I went to "find my Iphone" and removed it from my devices but I didn't erase it before doing this. What does the person who purchased it from me need to do to use it?

I want to give away my Apple 3 watch. It is no longer connected to my phone. I have an Apple 3 watch that is no longer connected to my phone. I want to erase all information and also disconnect the device from my name. I had thought the latter could be done on line but I am unable to find the site to do this. I plan to give this watch away.

What to do before you sell, give away or trade in your Apple Watch

Or this;

From a web browser,sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID.

Go to Find iPhone.

Click All Devices at the top of the screen.

Click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase [device]. Select Next until the device is erased.

Click Remove from Account.
