MacBook Pro 2021 M1 crackling sound from Apple TV app

I was listening music yesterday for 2 hours on 12.4 and had no issues. In previous version I had. For any case after update I deleted those Library com.apple.audio.* files. Will have to test more today, but for now it was fine, which does not mean it is fixed. Could be just lucky time 🤣 Will post again if there are new cracklings.

For the last 2 days, I do not notice any more problem.

Music App, Teams meeting, ... everything work well. As it always have to do ... so much months to solve the problem without any information through Apple Support ... Shame on them!

It is happening again even in 12.4. I hoped it is fixed but obviously it’s not.

Do not understand why nobody from Apple does not want to say a word about this error! If it is hardware error I want to know so I can replace my f* $3K laptop on time. Do not want to wait till guarantee expire.

During the last few days I do not noticed problem anymore... Until now ... I get the problem again this morning on Apple Music App.

Mine is €4,5K ... same anger than yours.

Hardware problem that Apple try to mask with software upgrade? degrading maybe features...

I have the similar issue, actually, I have the crackling sound from all my apps with sounds.

And on my computer, the 48000HZ is the default settings, I still have this problem.

I have gone to the genius bar for help, they just said they can't repeat the problem from their side with new account.

I don't think this is a third-party issue as so many users have the same issue.

Apple, please check more from your side.

Music stuttering is through Airpods max. Internal speakers crackle. That's why I think it's a more serious problem. Because Airpods have to have some sort of cache. So it looks like the data's gonna arrive corrupted. Not just later. Deleting the settings will have the same effect as a reboot. I installed 12.5b yesterday so we'll see later.

Apple, with the exception of Community Specialists does NOT participate here. Community Specialists answer questions which have been unanswered for 24 hours and can be answered with standard responses. Otherwise, it is you who is wrong in believing Apple will respond to you here.

I have used that link also, but haven´t got any reply/response for the crackling and popping sound issue. Yes, I have been with a Apple specialist suggestion reinstalls or eventually repair. Both are waste of time for this issue.

I have this too on a two week old MBP 14inch M1Pro, using a variety of apps, both Apple native and not. This really should not matter, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Bought this machine in part for the supposedly better sound. Am running the very latest MacOs and all relevant apps are updated to their latest versions as well.

Changing the midi frequency as suggested by a user in this thread did not do anything to fix the problem. It shows up intermittently and makes me worry the laptop is already dying.

Not a good showing for Apple on such an expensive machine. The lack of response on this has me concerned that the company cares more about "taking the money" part of the transaction than about the user experience that keeps people coming back.

Please provide a comprehensive explanation on why this bug has NOT been fixed, and yes! My MacBook Pro 16 is also producing an annoying crackling sound. Or at least provide us with an ETA for this issue to be addressed.

I’ve got the same issue while watching content on this app through my Samsung TV, using the Xfinity platform. Sounds like there’s an electric shock happening every few seconds, particularly when there’s is sustained sound coming from whatever show I’m watching, like music or, say, a rocket ship taking off for the moon.

Another issue I've noticed is the screen saver doesn't work. It works immediately after I change the setting but then it never works again and only shows a black screen instead of the screen saver I've chosen.

I have the M1 Pro 14". This is my second day using my laptop and the crackling is driving me nuts. I really hope they replace the laptop or patch this. Please be a software bug and not hardware. Considering this thread is almost exactly 1 year old I suspect that it is in fact a hardware issue. If anyone has a solution for this problem please please let me know. I have even been recording the audio with my phone and have captured this issue.
