Monterey & Mail issues

Since updating to OS12, my mail on both my Mac and MacBook have stopped working. Mail does not load, preview, send, automatically updates and consistently hangs when trying to use the app. Have to Force quit as the app becomes unresponsive.

IOS is fine and works as it should. Mail is on iCloud.

I have today updated to 12.1 and still not resolved. Frankly it's doing my head in.

Try booting to Safe Mode. That boot up takes minutes and clears caches and other things that may resolve your problem.

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

A lot of times just boot to Safe Mode followed by normal boot resolves problems.

Suggest downloading the Application Etrecheck directly from a well Respected ASC Contributor.

The application is free or paid from added features.

Run the application with Full Disc Access ( Security & Privacy - Full Disc Access ).

It will take a Snap Shot -  both the hardware and software.

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, alter, modify, remove or delete or attempt to do so is an invitation for disaster and may require a Reinstallation of the OS.

This includes AntiVirus, Disk Cleaners, Disk Optimizes, UnInstaller etc.

The The Built in Security  is all that is required.

Apple support took diagnostic report from the hard drive yesterday. This was seen by system engineers so I was told by the tech support person. I don't know what they have done, but 24 hours later it is working. This morning, my desktop was still not working with mail, however later today along with my MacBook the mail app was working with cloud. I can only suspect tech support changed something relating to cloud?
