Should I be able to charge my 14" Macbook pro through all ports?

I have a new Macbook Pro 14". I just tested if I can charge it through all the USB-C ports, and found out that the one next to the MAgSafe doesn"t work.

I have a USB-C tester that shows me the voltage and amperes going through, and the other two USB-C ports yield similar readings as the MagSafe one does, but for this port just stays black. Mac doesn"t say it"s loading either.

I am able to connect other devices to this port, as well as charge them, so that seems to be fine (could only test USB, since I don"t have a Thunderbolt one at hand), although after trying to charge through this port using different combinations of charger and cable, to see if anything would show a different response, it decided to stop working completely, but was restored after a restart (minus the charging).

My question is, is this expected behavior or should this work just like the other ports? I've had USB-C ports die on a Macbook before, so I'd rather catch it early.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.1

You should be able to charge alternatively using USBC charging only....

"You can use any of the Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports to charge your Mac with a USB-C charge cable. Your Mac charges over only one port at a time, so connecting multiple power adapters to the MagSafe 3 port and Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports won't result in faster charging. If you connect more than one power source, your Mac charges only from the adapter providing the most power."

Verify you have all other USBC attachment disconnected in an effort to trouble shoot further.

If no insight or resolve you can try running the user diagnostic—for hardware issue...not as definitive as Apple's own AST2 (Apple Service Toolkit) back bench diagnostic, but may kick out an error code.
