Is there a way to "clone" an iCloud account with all settings, photos, apps, contacts intact?

My wife and I have shared the same iCloud account for a very long time. With the recent MacOS updates, our Airpods now jump to each other's iPhones, which is super annoying for us as we work from these phones. We have been told in various forums that we need to have separate iCloud accounts, but our digital identities are merged such that this will be difficult to do.

We each have 2FA apps, plus 2000+ common contacts, over 5000 common photos, you get the idea.

The ideal solution would be to "clone" the account with all the existing settings into 2 and then we can clean it up.

It will be almost a "digital divorce", if we can't clone the account. One of us will literally have to re-create their whole digital life on a new account.

Please Help!

Sorry, I don't know of any way to do that. You're not the first to ask and you may want to provide feedback to Apple to encourage them to add that option. See: https://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html

The following may help, but is easier for some things (e.g., Contacts) than it is for others: Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud - Apple Support
