iPod Classic Playlists

I have an iPod Classic, works great, has all of my playlists. I was able to access my music and update my playlists on this iPod until recently. I just bought some new music and went to add it into my existing playlists on my iPod and the playlists do not show up.

My iPod shows in the Music app and when I click on my iPod it just shows all of my music, but there is no longer a drop down that displays the playlists. Is there a way to still access my iPod playlists through Music? Or does the latest update no longer allow that?

See What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support. Device management is now in the Finder app, which has reduced support for editing the existing content on a manually managed device when compared to iTunes. Syncing with a set of playlists in your library is the way to go.

Greetings stuffandthings_123,

We hinderstand that you are having some difficulty syncing content to your iPod, and we'd like to help. You can build playlists using Music on your Mac, or iTunes on a PC, then sync that content to your iPod. If you are using an Apple Music subscription, that content will not sync to your iPod, as it is not purchased content.

Take care.
