Spilled nail polish remover on macbook

Hello I just spilled nail polish remover on my laptop and now the bottom right corner of the screen seems to have liquid in it. Any way to resolve this issue?

Get this Serviced:

Get this serviced by an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider). They'd recover the data, and create a backup for you.

Contact an AASP:

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the Mac

Or Get a New Mac:

Know that getting a new LogicBoard and Screen, may cost the price of a simple Mac (4GB RAM and 128 SSD).

Nail polish remover contains Acetone; a strong solvent. Damage caused by the Acetone on the exterior is cosmetic, and is permanent. Interior damage is far more serious and your situation being a strong solvent incursion, you likely are facing a repair bill that could be a significant percentage of the replacement cost for even a newer but not current model Mac.
