Why can't my voice be heard when I FaceTime with people? The latest iPhone update messed up my FaceTime experience and now I cannot speak when we are FaceTiming. It is very frustrating. Can someone help figure out why?
See the icon just above the red arrow in the iPhone photo here from an Apple support document. That allow you to mute the microphone, check that setting when you are in a FaceTime call to see if the ability for people to hear you changes.

Things you might want to check :
Phone is using the latest iOS that is compatible
Turning phone off and back on ... any difference ?
Quitting and re-opening FaceTime with Apple ID Log-in ... any difference ?
the settings for "mute" on / off are working ok in FaceTime
your input sound volume

Wondering if you use wi-fi or cellular for FaceTime ? :
( If cellular check with your provider ?)

The issue is that my microphone works just fine in all other situations. It works when I'm on speakerphone. It works for voice memos. It works when recording movies. It works all the time EXCEPT when I FaceTime.
