How can I change the app store account for both, the billing and the browsing?

Hi,

I need to download an app from a store from a different country (my mother’s country) than my icloud account. So I logged out of my App Store account on the iPad and re-logged in (including 2FA) with the new one from my mother (her country).

When i now click on top right, it shows, I am logged in as her (even though it still shows my picture):

When I then search my app and want to download it, it asks me to confirm with my account, not my mother‘s:

How can I change the app store account (and just the app store account, not everything else) for both, the billing and the browsing?

Hello cburgdorfer,

We see that you need help with your Apple ID.

If you go to Settings > [your name] > Media & Purchases, you should be able to sign out, change password settings or view the account. The account shown here will be the account apps are downloaded and updated with.

Keep in mind, if needed you can change the country or region of your own Apple ID. When you change the country or region of your Apple ID, you’ll be able to download apps from the local App Store. Change your Apple ID country or region

Ryane77,

Are you able to download other apps or is this the only app this is happening with?

Is your Mother able to download this app on your device, while she's physically in the country associated with her Apple ID?

We ask because this may be related to your location and where the app is available.

If the issue continues, Contact Official Apple Support.

Hello Ryane77

Thanks for your answer, I did exactly what you describe, and my account in “Media & Purchases” is the one from my mother while the rest of the iPad is mine. When I log into the App Store App, and click on the icon on the top right, it’s correctly showing my mother’s. Only when I actually want to download something, it will again flip back to my account, which is wrong.

If I then proceed with the purchase, it will give me this error:

This must be a bug, right?
