iMac late 2013 as monitor

Hi,

I just got the latest MacbookPro 14’ with M1 chip and I need a monitor for work purposes, but on my desk I have an iMac late 2013 with Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 that I could use as monitor.

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect it with a cable instead of buying 3rd party software/hardware?

If yes which cable should I buy? Thunderbolt 2 or 3 to USB-C? MiniDisplay?

Thank you for helping.
