Hi - Two months I stopped receiving a text alert from one particular address/sender. I used to receive an email & Text alert from in REAL TIME, but now I only receive the email. Text is several hours or days delayed. It only occurs with this one address/contact. Thanks
What "instant messenger" are you talking about?
If you mean it comes in to the built in messages app as an SMS message, you need to work it out with tmobile.
email to sms gateways are notorious for delayed deliveries. Often, this is caused by the gateway, which is operated by the carrier, being overwhelmed with spam messages.
It's so bad that I and most everyone I know has had SMS and MMS messages that originate from email addresses blocked completely on their accounts.
Either way, this is NOT a problem with your phone. The phone can't give you the message until it gets it from your carrier. It does not sit on it and wait to notify you about it.
SMS is a carrier feature. Contact your cellular carrier and/or have the sender contact their carrier.
I contacted both, and so far my carrier (t-Mobile) has been unable to solve my issue. The sender told me to contact my carrier (not their issue).
The sender sends out an alert via email and another alert is converted to my IM.
i use my number and @tmomail.net to receive a text in IM but no longer receiving it in realtime.
Trying to troubleshoot it or might have to change carriers.

What do you mean by the sender sends an email and another alert is converted to your IM? I understand mail, but what is this conversion you are referring to? Are you using some type of IM app other than the Messages app on the iPhone? I'm wondering what this conversion is and what affect it can have on this.
I'm likely not using the proper terminology! The corporation I work for sends me some work related automated work related ALERTS from a specific program they use. I should've received the messages to both my personal email address (xxxx @ gmail.com), and the same alert to my IM (instant messenger....xxxxxxx@tmomail.net). Currently, I receive my email alerts as soon as it's sent, but I no longer receive the text ones in realtime. thx
So this is an instant messenger app provided by T-Mobile? They are going to have to troubleshoot their app. Apple wouldn't have anything to do with how T-Mobile's app works. Do you know if it is necessarily this app is not receiving it on time, or is it that you are not receiving the notification? What kind of settings does this app have? Have you asked if they made any changes to this app or the address things are sent to?
I'm using an IPHONE and Message in my mac. T-mobile is the carrier.
I can TEST the system, which I did a few hours ago, and I received the test text from my corporation, 1h45M later. In the past, whenever I tested the alert system, I immediately received the text.
The odd thing is that it's occurring only with this alert texts sent from my corporation. I receive all other texts in realtime.
