Apple watch pings at night

I updated my apple watch to Version 8.3. I charge it on my nightstand at night which was never a problem before the update. Now it softly pings about every 5-10 minutes all night long. I have the focus set to do not disturb during these hours and I also have mirror my iPhone set, which is also do not distur. In addition, I have tried turning off the red bell and last night I turned on the theater symbols. It still was pinging. When I removed it from the charger at 4am, it continued to ping so I don't know if it had to do with charging. Any ideas of what I should do?

The OP perfectly describes what my SE watch has started doing—it softly pings, and cycles through the same displays it makes when I first connect it to the charger. It is as if it is continually disconnecting and reconnecting to the charger.

Yes be nice for Apple to acknowledge the bug and give some estimate of when they plan to fix it.

Thank god I am not alone. AW4 42mm here with the same symptom. First I thought my original charger is defective but it seems a common issue. Well done

I have given up on mine smashed it several times with a hammer and put it in the bin, it has resolved the issue permanently

I smashed my Apple Watch 7 to stop it beeping all night, setup and update old Apple Watch 6 to new 8.6 so tomorrow either another smashed Watch or it will work and will use my old watch

Still pinging all night long! Trying to remember every night to put my watch on theatre mode before I go to sleep but sometimes I forget. Apple please fix this!!!

Just got mine a couple days ago, so it's new and the chargers new. My does the same thing. I did update the software when I got it; didn't notice it doing it before the update.
