Can't add mail iCloud email to mail app on MacBook Pro

the way to add iCloud mail to my Mail app on MacBook Pro is stop at this step.

then it doesn't respond and can not cancel.... then the mail just freezes.... I can only force to quit it

try many times, never succeed...... still can not set up iCloud account on my mail

Mail on Ventura 13.0 cannot search I am using the new custom domain feature in cloud mail. I have approx 800 emails and can search perfectly on my iPad, iPhone and online at icloud.com yet when I'm in the Mail app, i type a simple search phrase, and no results are found. It won't even find a word in the most recently received email. I have rebuild mailbox resynced deleted envelope files checked all settings in spotlight run rebuild scripts in terminal rebooted endless times using MBP M1 It seems to be a common issue and one that Apple as usual are ignoring - i see posts in the community going back over a year on this issue. It would appear you cannot even log a support ticket for icloud - despite paying close to £30 a month for it. Any ideas, anyone?

impossible to add Gmail to Mail I had gmail under mail until yesterday but again it did not work properly=> I deleted gmail and then wanted to reinstall gmail - NO WAY ... wether by + or preferences and choosing gmail I only get an attempt to open gmail and nothing happens. The "search" continues for ever without any result. I opened gmail under chrome as it said "open in browser" but still no way; thanks, Jenny
