Phone confirm before dialing

When is Apple going to add confirm before dialing function on phone app. Way too easy to miss dial. Touch screen by accident and the phone off and running.

Still no setting to confirm dialing? My senior slightly demented dad constantly dials people who has called him, because of the ”one touch” dialing in Recents and Contacts. Is there still no setting in iOS so the phone can ask for confirmation before dialing? If not, why? There are all kinds of helpful settings to make using the iPhone easier for people with all kind of disabilities and challenges - I cannot understand why this is not one of them, it seems so easy and would help many.
