Movies appearing on all devices that I didn’t purchase

I have two movies appearing in my Apple TV apps, on all devices (MacBook, iPad & iPhone) that I never purchased.

The two movies: Jason Bourne & Ghostbusters 2016

No judgement on either of these movies, however I NEVER watch them, so they are just in the way. On my MacBook, I can successfully “hide” them but on my iPad & iPhone I can’t.

I’ve been fighting this issue for several years. In the past I was instructed to just “hide” them, which I did. However, that’s no longer working on my iPad & iPhone. I’ve followed the online steps to “hide” a purchase on my iPad & iPhone, but neither of these movies are actually listed in my purchase history. (“Get Info” on the movies states both were purchased on Oct 13,2017, yet they do not show in my purchase history) **I’m thinking these might have been a “bonus” given to my account??

Can anyone help?

Coincidently, in recently redeeming/adding a purchased digital copy of a different movie, via Movies Anywhere, I discovered these two movies were listed in my Movies Anywhere library. I contacted that service to see if these movies had been added by them in a promotion I was not aware of.

Much to my relief, Movies Anywhere confirmed that these two movies were indeed part of a promotion and added to my account by them. Though I appreciated the promotion, I hadn’t watched either of these movies since they were given and requested they be removed.

I appreciate your assistance Urquhart1244!!

On my MacBook, I can successfully “hide” them but on my iPad & iPhone I can’t.

When you hide an iTunes Store purchased movie title, it should be for any device with the same account.

Gifted titles should still be in your purchase history.

If the title is not on your purchase history, then see if a is a local file is present on your mobile devices that can be deleted.

Also try a force-quit of the TV app, and a restart of mobile devices, to fetch the movie titles freshly.

If the issue persists, then I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).
