9th gen ipad guided access not working

Why won’t my new 9th gen ipad work when it is in the case. If you remove it from the case it works. Case is an otterbox defender. All other features work perfectly fine in the case.

iPad Air 5th gen guided access i just got the ipad air 5th gen. I followed all instructions but when i try to activate guided access by triple clicking the top button, it just locks on the first click. how do i fix this?
