I have a large number of blank TDK DVD +RW disks. I have had all my old videos converted to MP4 files which were stored in a Drop Box. I have an external disk drive attached by USB to my iMac desktop computer. When I drag a video file to be copied on the blank disk, it appears to be loaded but when the disk is burned, I always received a disk burn recon error. When this occurs, the disk can be read on the computer but directory is incomplete when viewed on a DVD player. The Finder does not recognize the disk when reinserted in the disk drive. Cannot eject disk without using disk utility(i.e., Finder shows external drive by name but disk is grayed out if name is recognized). Have to reject the disk drive name to eject the disk. When the TDK DVD is reinserted into drive, it is not recognized and cannot be erased. DVD file info shows 0 bytes available on disk. Disk is 4.7GB and video being copied is 1.7 GB. Since disk is RW should be able to reformat (initialize) but so far have not found have to reinitialize the disk.

That is why I need help with disk handling. Can anyone suggest a suggestion to solve the problem? Thanks
