My Cd superdrive will not work with my MacBook Pro
I plug it but itwill not pull a cd in.

Tte Apple superdrive requires a whopping 900 milliAmps power. It must be connected to a USB port that can provide that much power. Run-of-the-mill adapters and Docks almost never can provide that much power.

Thanks - however I believe there is anadapter for the USB C that will provide the needed power. My Macbook Prro is only 3 years old.

I would not bet on third-party adapters to provide that much power, but maybe the apple adapter would.
