I have an External drive to burn CD's and it stopped working. My MacBook Pro doesn't recognize it. I'm on Sonoma 14.4.1, but it stopped working when I was on 14.1.1. I've burned CD's before but now if I go to system report and look Hardware/disc burning it says nothing is attached. I'm not sure if it's my CD burner or my Mac

if it is not compatible with the current macOS Sonoma look for some firmware update for your un-named "External drive to burn CD"—if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates…

a different cable
a different port
