kindle app not compatible with ipad os 15.2?

I just got a new ipad with OS 15.2 on it. I can't get the amazon kindle app to work. It keeps telling me there is a network error and I need to connect to the internet, but the ipad is on the internet, and other apps work just fine. I can use the browser to access websites.

Anyway, the kindle app works just fine on my phone, with OS 15.1.1, and on my old ipad, with an older os. I was on a very long customer support call with Amazon, and we tried everything, from resetting the new ipad to reinstalling the kindle app to trying to run the ipad using a mobile hotspot instead of my wi fi.

Nothing works. At this point it appears that the kindle app isn't working with the new os for ipads. Aside from continuing to use my old ipad for reading kindle books and never updating it, what can I do about this? Is there a fix the way there was for some of the kindle app issues in the past with upgrades to new mac computer OSs?

Hi elwagner, not sure of you tried this but it may help if you reset your network settings re Point 7 in the following link. I have Kindle and I am on IOS15.2 and it works fine.

Thank you Bas333, I have looked at previous discussions on this matter and provided a link to a discussion that helped resolve a Kindle app issue. Not the same issue but the resolution may help with your issue.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251273065

And one other suggested resolution was as follows:

First Switch on airplane mode/disable wifi.  Open the Kindle app.  You may or may not get a connection message. Wait for minute or so and then turned the wifi back on, and after that the kindle app should load properly.

If these do not work I hope others in the Apple Support Communities may have some suggestions.

You may also want to contact Apple Support.

You can do this as follows:

Note: I have updated my iPadOS to 15.2.1 and my Kindle app is Version 6.49 and I am not having any issues.
