Message badge

My messages indicate I have “1” but when I open messages, nothing is there. I can’t get rid of the “1” or find the message. Any ideas?

Completely close out of the message app and do this Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

The forced reset didn't do anything. I still have 1 red notification and can't get rid of it.
