I installed the Belkin USB-C to Gigabit adapter to new MacBook Pro m1 max. Connex speed on first test after batting up is as expected - 900-950 Mbps down, ~35 up. Following tests are very low.

The adapter runs hot - 95 to 103F. After a couple of tests, I lose connection to the internet. Looks like the Apple suggestion is inadequate.

What other adapters could be used to connect the MBP to modem with Cat6 ethernet to take advantage of my gigabit capability?

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)
