I'm trying to set up my new MacBook Air but it got stuck on the 'Sign In with Your Apple ID' page. It sent a code to my phone but it just spins. After backing out and sending a new code it now says there was an error connecting to the Apple ID server and I can't get out of it.

Our recommendation is to restart your Mac in safe mode. This helps to verify your startup disk, deletes system caches and more. Once the Mac is in safe mode, please restart it as normal and see if you can sign in and properly set up your Mac.
