Apple Watch 7 Auto Launch still connected for Music/podcast after I disabled it.

I’ve disabled the auto launch function on my Apple Watch but it’s still connecting when I play my podcast or music. This shouldn’t be happening, phone and watch are up to date with current IOS systems.

Hello Cam8472,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. When you say that your music and/or podcasts are auto-launching on your watch, do you mean that you're seeing the audio controls appear on your watch face? If so, this would be expected behavior. It's not that those apps are playing from your watch, you're just provided the ability to control them from the watch, along with your iPhone.

Take a look at section: Control music, podcasts or audiobooks on iPhone, in article, Use Now Playing on Apple Watch.

Hope this helps!
