We can see why you’d want this clarified, so let us help from here! Let’s start by reviewing the following article which may help: How to lock notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. While the Notes app is as secure as your iPhone, if you would like an additional layer of protection, you can protect access to some or all notes with a password, Face ID or Touch ID. This article explains how to do that.

That's definitely unexpected behavior, iPhoneSe21. We're not able to say why your Gmail account would have the same Notes unless you emailed them to yourself or another address, perhaps? Either way, locking your Notes app or individual notes would be a good way to assure that the contents remain safe and only accessible to you.

For unusual behavior without a clear cause, it can help to perform some upkeep on your device by taking the following steps: restart your iPhone, make sure it is up to date and close the Notes & Mail app and reopen them.

1. Restart your iPhone

2. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

3. Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch

Please let us know if you find this behavior persisting after taking all of the above steps and we'd be happy to investigate further. Have a great day.

Hello again, iPhoneSe21. It is possible to share Notes and invite others to participate with you. This article explains more: Share notes and collaborate on iPhone. It is extremely unlikely that someone would be able to remotely access your device unless you shared some of the content with them, like with Notes explained previously, or other apps.

That said, if there is ever any concern that your Apple ID account could be compromised, this article offers many ways to secure it against unauthorized use: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Be well and thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Yes thank you I do use locks in my notes app. However I didn’t know that you could lock the app it’s self I’ll check it out. And another part of the was why would they show up in emails Gmail account in a short Version an appears to be multiplying as I’m scrolling. And I come later and it’s gone as weird as it got there. What would cause that. Oh and the two letters that it happened to where not locked fyi thank you.

Hi Jeff I remembered I had taken a picture of note from note app that showed up in the email account and this how looked if you tap on it, it would show you a condensed version of what I wrote and then if you scrolled down it would just keep scrolling and scrolling. And this might be a coincidence but the first and only time I sent it I started it in notes app I finished it in the message app and sent it from there.. I never accessed the email. account and I’m sorry I tried researching (Im very new with iPhone) but I’m just curious, I sent that night. And the next morning I find a condensed version of what I had sent, doubled lined like pictures and kept multiply as I scrolled down. So is this something I’m doing or might sound stupid but is there any way the person I sent it to could have access my notes? The next notes that appeared where random notes out of the app. And like said crazy as they showed up they all disappeared. And coincidentally, I had a unknown login that night and a couple more after that from the same state of the contact I sent it to, but sign in on Facebook though. So just Flukes??? Is it even possible? I have no clue. Ok will thank you for your time. (This contact I sent it to I might be taking court why I’m asking) thanks
