Lost watch

I lost my watch on Dec 22, well it’s the last time I seen it. While I was home it said it was home and every day I check in “find my” it would update a time. So I finally drive my car and use find my watch and it pings by the gas station at 10:55am and again the next day at 5:33am on my way to work and again at my job. Thing is I have searched my car from top to bottom and it’s no where to be found but every day it update it’s location. My question is because I’m sure it’s dead by now,

will it still update? And then is it alway accurate because the most logical thing is that it’s in my car but I can’t find it. Would it update like that if it wasn’t actually in the car? or is it my phone, or Bluetooth throwing off the signal or something. or should I remove my car piece by piece because it has to be in my car?

That's a great question, Melissadunn85.

It sounds like you're noticing Find My is giving you locations for your missing Apple Watch that seem to correspond to your car's location. We can help.

From what you've told us it does sound like there's a strong chance the Apple Watch is somewhere in the car. If the device is still powered on, you can try to Play a sound on a device with Find My iPhone on iCloud.com to see if that helps in locating it.

Hope that helps!

Take care.

Hey there, Melissadunn85.

Great question. If you were seeing random locations, or locations you wouldn't expect to see the Apple Watch at, maybe something might be going on, like someone found it and charged it. Since it has been in the same location as your car on multiple locations, its a strong indicator that it might be in the vehicle.

It would be very unlikely that you were getting false locations for where the car, and presumably the Apple Watch, actually are.

Hope that helps.
