With my budget I want to have it link to my month in checkbook with along with the month where it will link to the actually budget. I can do January with link category name and the cell. how can I do each month.

How do I send row data to different tables based on date This is actually two questions in one post. I am trying to create a budget document that reflects actual spending based on data entered into a "checkbook register" type table on a separate sheet. I want to be able to have this data go to the proper month's budget table. I am using the budget template in Numbers, but what happens when a new month begins? There is no way to clear the data and start over without deleting it and losing the historical reference. Someone please sanity check this next idea: I want to have 12 months worth of monthly budget tables that get their actual spending data from the same checkbook register. And I want the over/under budget amounts to roll over to the next month. My reasoning is that say you budget $1200 per year or $100 per month for car maintenance, knowing that you aren't actually going to spend that each month but you know that you have a major maintenance item like changing the timing belt coming up.... I want to roll over each month's surplus or deficit budget amount until I have enough to get that job done. How do I do this?

in numbers when create new row not able to copy paste formula in my budget When I create a new row in Numbers in my active budget template and try to copy a formula from another cell , the formula values won’t paste properly, so it won’t allow the budget totals to add properly. This is affecting at least 2 rows in my case. if you need too see my issue more clearly I would be happy to provide a copy of my budget to someone who can assist me in figuring this out please? I need this budget to work all the time as I use it weekly or more . Thanks

Monthly Budget: categories and transactions Good morning, I'm trying to use the "monthly budget" template in Numbers, but I'm stuck on one of the steps. I've been able to create a new category, but I just can't "link" it to the pop up menu on the transaction sheet. Can anybody help me?

Are you using the 'Personal Budget' template at File > New in the menu?

If so here is an expanded template (Dropbox download) that may work for you. It handles multiple months.

No, nothing I have try far as templet have been what I am looking for. I want my check book to link with my budget to try to say of track. I can get it to do it if I do a checkbook for each month but I don't what to have to start over ever month.

Where would I fine the Dropbox download? It might work..
