How can l now unlock my iphone 5s whose passcode l have forgotten after resetting my icloud password?

My iphone is locked because l can't remember the passcode. However, l've been able to reset my icloud password a day later than scheduled to me on my other phone which is an android. Nothing happens after l key in my apple id and new password.
