I connect my iPhone 11 pro max to my Mac book using a USB C cable but there is a message saying that it is preparing to open pictures which never happens. What should I do?

You came from a great article and to further troubleshoot we recommend trying another cable to see if the issue remains. If this does not help, test this in another user account on the Mac by follow the guidance in Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac.
