Hello theroushan,

It sounds as though you’re experiencing freezing and audio issues when using Safari and Visual Studio Code on your MacBook Pro M1. Apple Support Communities is a wonderful place for help, and we know how important it is for the Mac to work as expected.

With the apps becoming unresponsive, try the steps outlined in the following article.

If an app on your Mac stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

If you continue to have issues after those steps please create a new admin user account. This would be a test account that you can delete after logging in to the user, and testing to see if the same issue occurs. You can find the steps for creating a new admin user in the following article.

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Let us know how that goes!
