I just got an amber alert notification on my iPhone, but no details. The TV version had a couple of paragraphs describing the alert. Where is that information on the iPhone?

The alert data contains most if not all of what you are seeing on the tv. Apple chooses (a) not to display it all and (b) not to save for later view. My old BlackBerry Passport showed the notification just like Apple, but stored the full data in a separate app. I rarely needed to go out to the website.
Your best bet is to go out to the twitter feed for the state police in your state after seeing the alert. That’s the best you can do with an iPhone.

Update: I just checked my bb and KiltedTim is right. The data no longer comes through. Twitter is still the best way, then.
Your local authorities specify what information goes out in the alert. Ask them why they don't give you more information.
So how do I find out who to ask?
Is the problem unique to iPhone?
