Silent mode not working iPhone 13 (iOS 15)

Hi,

I’ve put my phone in silent mode using the switch on the left side. I get a “Silent mode on” pop up. BUT I still get notification sounds from different applications and websites, Facebook videos will play with audio etc.

What’s wrong?

Hi Blichfang,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities, we're glad to assist. We understand and that you're using the Silent mode but you are still hearing some notification sounds and hearing sound in videos. In Silent Mode you should not hear ringtones or alerts, but your iPhone will still play sounds in video, or your music. You can read more here: How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode. You may want to also enable Do Not Disturb for other parts and notifications. There's great information here: Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
