is there anybody that can help me figure out how to download VDCAssistant for the webcam in a MacBook? The module is not present on this Mac updated to 12.1 Monterey and I can't seem to find a way to download it. I have reset the SMC, RAM, Reinstalled the OS, I've checked all the privacy settings and permissions. The last thing I have to do is caught this issue on my 2017 MacBook Air. Im really frustrated and can't seem to find how to install it or where I can find the file online.

Hi,

Yes, VDCAssistant is not available since Big Sur was released as far as remember.

Following document could help your issue.

If your built-in camera isn’t working on your Mac - Apple Support

If it doesn't help, try to check your built-in camera with Apple Diagnostics if it reports built-in camera related error(NDC001, NDC003 to NDC006).
