Frequent disconnects from Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter in macOS Monterey?

Hi,

I am having an issue with losing my ethernet connection every 15 minutes to an hour or so on my MacBook Pro after upgrading to Monterey.

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) running a clean install of macOS Monterey v12.1. I recently deleted everything on my hard drive hoping a clean install would solve the issues - the disconnects continue.

I have two different Apple Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapters (one purchased around April 2019, the other December 2020) that I have tried swapping out to solve the issue - the disconnects continue.

My WiFi connection seems to be relatively stable, and reconnects quick enough that WiFi is less of an issue, but it's in and out throughout the day. I live in the city with tons of other networks around me so stable ethernet is really the best for me while teleworking / videoconferencing.

I have had this frequent ethernet disconnect issue with other versions of MacOS (upgraded from HighSierra recently), but the disconnects were much less frequent and I could easily go 2 to 4 hours without a disconnect, and sometimes days on end without a disconnect.

I have tried connecting by ethernet directly into my FiOS modem, and I still get the same ethernet disconnect within an hour. Even after reseting the FiOS modem while being directly connected to it.

If I remove the ethernet adapter from the MacBook Pro, and re-insert it, I will usually see the internet reconnect within 30 seconds or so.

I have a Windows laptop that I've tested on all the ethernet ports/cables - it stays up 100% of the time, even over 24 hours at my desk. I am running both the Windows laptop and the MacBook Pro through the same switch back to the router now, and the MacBook Pro will disconnect multiple times while the Windows laptop stays connected 100%.

I've tried setting up reserved DHCP addresses - still get the disconnects. I've tried resetting the FiOS modem, even when directly connected to that, still get the disconnects.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for how to get the ethernet connection stable on the MacBook Pro?

Any suggestions for software to use to try and monitor what is causing the disconnects?

Thanks in advance for any help, stable ethernet would really help while working from home!

Thank you lllaass. I've captured the entries from the Console app in the .rtf doc at the link below:

If any of these entries mean anything please let me know! I noticed some entries (see 14:33:31.282967) which appear related to something thermal (maybe an overheating issue?). I've started using Network Logger Pro, which is in some of the entries.

The ethernet disconnect for these Console entries occurred 1/9/2022 at 14:33:32pm. For this "test" I booted up into Safe Mode to try and limit any other outside influences. I was streaming a YouTube video and attempted to download something from Dropbox when the disconnect occurred, about an hour from when the internet connection was started. Network Logger Pro was set to test for the internet connection by pinging every second.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
