my microscope uses way too much memory? Im thinking the images aren't going to the right place

any suggestions? the software I use is called pluuggble viewer. thanks ion advance.

Keynote - extreme file sizes - will this ever be fixed? Keynote file sizes are extreme. Is anything being done for future versions to fix this issue? (The master is one issue: adding an image to a master and using this master repeatedly thought-out the presentation increases the KN file size by huge margins --> the master "copies" to each slide rather than "referencing". Also, if you import and then crop a full image within KN, it retains the info for the entire image. I get that in case I may want to go back and resize it... but I'd rather re-import the original than have the file size explode. KN, sadly, still has a long way to go to become a pro presenter software.)

M1 iMac Photo Library is very slow... My sister has a base M1 iMac. Her 300GB photo library seems virtually unusable once you delete an image on her iMac. The library sits on a 4TB external G-Tech drive connected directly via USB-C, formatted APFS. I have connected this external drive to my base Mac Studio, and everything runs smoothly and fast. No issues whatsoever, so I know the drive and library are not corrupted. Obviously, I have an M1 Max to her M1 and more ram, 32GB to her 8GB, but when she pulls up Activity Monitor, and looks at memory usage, it doesn't use any swap space. Is there something else going on that I'm not understanding? Thanks for any help.
