Not receiving Ask to buy Alerts or Screen Time requests

Hi,

I am the family organizer but for some reason i am not receiving the ask to buy alerts from my kids or the additional screen time requests. However I am able to see the screen time requests if I go to the my kids screen time menu and approve them but not receiving at all any ask to buy requests or notifications.

I have my wife setup as a parent/guardian and she is able to receive the screen time requests and approve them but on the kids ipad even though she did approved the time the approved app for more time is still locked. Also when I go to the screen time menu on my wife phone it does not appear the kids profile nor even the screen time requests that the kids performed.

My wife which is the parent/guarding is also not receiving any ask to buy alerts. Any idea on how to fix this?

My Wife has an iPhone 12, and both my kids has an iPad Pro (2017) and a iPad (2021). I am the organizer with an iPhone XS Max and all the devices are up to date with the latest IOS version 15.

I was able to solve this issue for the Ask to buy notifications. What I did was to change my Device Name and then Signout from the Appstore and login again. Still havent tested the Screen Time Requests Notification but will update as soon as I am able to do this test.

Hi Sarah,

Just apply the same steps that were posted in a previous post.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251200553

Summary of the steps:

  1. Disable and Re-enable Ask to buy on each child.
  2. Rename your device name.
  3. Logout from Appstore and login back again.

if you follow this on each device of every parent/ guardian and organizer all the issues should be resolved.
