using Google message on iPad
My iPad is wi-fi version. Can I install Google message without an iPhone phone number? I have an Android number and can't find out if this is possible. If it is, where can I get setup information.
Thanks

There is no official app. As previously mentioned, you can try the web version here: https://messages.google.com/web/authentication?pli=1

I wonder if the web based version of google messages might help in a similar way i use web based version of WhatsApp on my iPad. https://messages.google.com/web/authentication
I didn't even know there was a web version.
Couldn't hurt to give it a try.
Google hangouts is being shutdown.
Google Chat is Google's latest messaging app for now.
Until they shut it down and move onto another app as they have done several times.
Google messages is Google's Android app for SMS.
There is no ipad version.
What's "Google Message"? I'm only familiar with Google Hangouts.
What, exactly, are you trying to do?
