My name is Karim.

An iPhone X came into my possession which does not belong to me and I would like it to be returned to its owner. I'm unable to contact Apple by phone to inquire with them directly on what to do so, I'm here seeking help on going about the process of returning the device.

Returning iPhone I recently bought an iPhone, when I got it I logged into my apple ID and it worked a couple of hours later the iCloud was locked and I couldn't use it. I can't get a hold of the person who sold it to me. I'm not sure if the person who sold it was using me to commit insurance fraud or if they sold me a stolen phone. How can I get a hold of the original owner because I would like to return it if it was stolen or try to get my money back if the person who sold it to me was commiting fraud,the phone is useless to me.

I bought a used iPhone and it's locked to the original owner. I bought an iPhone 12 pro max from a guy who recently worked in a mobile store, but he's no longer there and the phone is stuck on iPhone Locked to Owner. I believe he is incarcerated, I'm out of $400.00. If I can't get my money back, Apple ID and Password removed, can I have Apple Support to find the original owner, inform them that I have the phone, see if I can either pay them to remove their info or return it. iPhone 12 locked to owner I was given an iPhone 12 from a third party and have no idea who the original owner is and it is locked to their iCloud account. Is there anything i can do to be able to use the phone or is it a total loss? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Turn it over to the local authorities. Apple can't help you.

Apple doesn't typically get involved in anything of this sort. Perhaps the best option would be to turn it into a convenient police station near where you found it.
