I decided to see if my old Iomega 100 Zip drive would work on my new MacBook Air. Connected it. It did not show up in Finder or disk utility set to show all devices. However, when I checked the system information hardware section, it shows up. Any thoughts about how I might get it to show up in Finder with macOS Monterey v. 12.0.1?

Do you have a disk in the drive? That is required for the drive to show in Disk Utility and Finder.
W/o disk it will still show in System Information.
When is the last time you used the drive?
When powered p and you insert a disk does it accept the disk?
Yes, I have a disk in the drive. The last time I used the drive was years ago and yes, the Zip drive does accept the disk.
On what computer did you use it last time? If a Mac what macOS version?
Just to point out, the article suggests you need to be running Mojave or earlier which would indicate 32bit support is required.
On my 2011 iMac. High Sierra. I will try to use it on the iMac once it comes back from getting a new power supply.
