While typing in any app, my phone will jump to the next line, creating a line break, for no reason.
I am not hitting the return key, nor am I using a third party keyboard. It’s strange.
I’ve reset settings on my phone but have not restored it yet.
Any help would be appreciated

Do you experience any other issues with your touchscreen outside of when you're typing? Any false-touch experiences, where it seems things are being done without user input? If the screen isn't working on your iPhone or iPad
We'd suggest quitting any and all open apps: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open. Then, restart Restart your iPhone to check for improvement. You should also ensure you're using the latest iOS: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
