How to stop video autoplaying on Safari

There are several questions on this forum on this subject, none of which have an answer that works. When I am using my new airpods (3rd gen) with my ipad air 4th gen, my music keeps stopping whenever I browse a page on safari that has embedded videos that autoplay, often in silence but still interrupt my music.

Apple support suggested in a previous post going to: “Settings > Accessibility > Motion > disable the option Auto-Play Video Previews.” This was already off in my ipad and makes no difference whatsoever.

One of the web pages I am viewing is Techradar, one I regularly read and dont want to blacklist.

I can see no other option to try, so any advice welcome. My Ipad air 4th gen is running ios 15.2
