Connecting thunderbolt Cinema Display to new Mac book pro

If this is a genuine ThunderBolt display, and has only a Thunderbolt input cable and a MagSafe charge cable, it can be used with the Apple ThunderBolt-3 <-> ThunderBolt-2 adapter and the displays's captive cable.


If this is a display that has a two-headed or there-headed input cable, it is NOT a Thunderbolt Display, and the Apple ThunderBolt-3 <-> ThunderBolt-2 adapter will NOT support it.
