Any idea why I wouldn't be able to dictate or type messages directly on my watch any longer? I can still dictate Siri queries just fine. This is what I see when tap on iMessage in a message on the watch:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. You mentioned that you're unable to use the Scribble feature and you don't have the option to type out a message while using your Apple Watch. If so, we'd like to assist in any way possible. We want to make sure we're following the correct steps for accessing the watchOS built-in keyboard. Click here for the steps:

Under "Compose a text message", it states the following: "If you don’t see the keyboard, swipe up from the bottom, then tap the Keyboard button". If you follow these steps, are you able to access the watchOS keyboard? Also, for the Scribble feature, it states the following: "If you’ve set up your Apple Watch to use more than one language, you can choose a different language when using Scribble. Just swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then choose a language."

Yes, swiping up yields those controls. Why were they moved so that I'm required to take a logically unnecessary step?

It's also the case that swiping up isn't always required. Sometimes the controls appear just where they always have. This suggests that the need to swipe up is a bug, no?
Can I get a response to this? Also, note the microphone icon in the image below. Is this a bug? It can be very difficult to select Send. Why might this be?
