apple tv with multiple hdmi cables

Here is my setup for my Apple TV:

I have my Apple TV connected to HDMI wall plug #1. The HDMI wall plug #1 is connected by another HDMI cable to wall plug #2. A third HDMI cable connects from wall plug #2 to my TV.

My Apple TV is recognized by my TV but I have a black screen and no sound. My Apple TV works fine when connected to my TV directly with a single cable.

I confirmed the wall plugs work properly using another device.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Thanks!

What is the total cable length? Are there signal boosters (“repeaters”) in between? HDMI has an effective max range of about 10 ft of cable for a 4K signal (without boosters).

Are your HDMI cables all 18 Gbps or better?
