It might have something to do with head detection, when I play any video clip (from my Ipad) and take them off the sound still plays in the left ear (nothing in the right) 5 seconds later this is a click noise and both ears cut out.
I've tried a soft reset and a hard reset.
It looks like its running the latest firmware 4C165
Anyone else have this issue?

hey Eric, happens on both my MacBook Pro and IPad Pro.
Both on YouTube and Apple Music - (as I said before) as soon as I take them off my ears the sound still plays in the left channel for 5 seconds and then noise cuts out completely. Bluetooth connection drops and reconnects to whichever device (and the connect sound plays)
As I was typing this up I still had them on my head (with no sound playing) the left channel clicked once and disconnected again. I’ve also tried disabling the head detection but it made no difference.
I left them charging overnight, not getting a charge light when plugged in (but the AirPods are coming up with 100% charged)
Please note too, I’m in New Zealand and there’s no official Apple store in the country.
