Active Calories for workout not credited to Move ring

Recently I’ve noticed that if I do a workout, for this example let’s say active calories were 400 and total calories 490, those active calories will credit to my Move ring and then once the workout is completed they will disappear and I will only be left with 250 active calories on my Move ring. This is fairly discouraging as sometimes I will have some pretty intense workouts and although my Move ring should be closed, I’m still having to do more if I want to meet my goals.

Check to see if your details are correct in your health app profile especially weight, sometimes they get changed by other wayward apps.

Move Ring

RESOLVED: my move ring would unexpectedly lose calories. For example, after exercising, my Apple Move ring would show 500 calories. But later in the day, it would drop to 425. I discovered this was due to a duplicate workout recorded from my connected Strava fitness app, which would record fewer calories. So I deleted my duplicate Strava fitness data from the day’s workout, and my Apple Move calories returned to their original count. Hope that helps.

It seems to do the same thing with other 3rd party apps as well.
