Apple Watch

Is Apple Currently active in finding a solution for breaking through tattoos with the sensors on the Apple watches? My full sleeves prevent me from using most of the functions on my Apple Watch for fitness forcing me to stop using it. I would love to be able to use an Apple Watch again without having my artwork laser removed.
