MacBook Pro 2020 Logic Board and Touch ID Board Malfunction-AGAIN
I am a long time Mac user. My last device was a MacBook Air. I never had issues. I purchased a 2020 MacBook Pro so I could use up to 2 external devices. (The newest Pro only allowed for 1 device due to the new "chip" thing).
Three months post purchase, both the logic board AND the touch ID board needed to be replaced. I was without my computer for over 3 business days for the Apple store to send it out.
Now--JUST 9 months post repair --AGAIN--the logic board, touch ID board AND display needed to be replaced. I have been without the computer from Jan 8-Jan 11. It had to be sent out for repair.
YES--I have the APPLE warranty. NO--I did not have to pay out of pocket. HOWEVER, in ONE YEAR and ONE MONTH since the purchase of a brand new MacBook PRO--it has broken 2X. This does not seem like the norm. I have be "reassured" that the brand new components have been fully inspected and the computer is "unlikely to break" again. Seriously? It broke 3 months after purchase.
Very frustrated with this device. Even more frustrated that Apple keeps telling me I am "lucky" it was under warranty. Wonder if they will reinburse me for the "time out of work"!!!
Anyone else having this issue?
